I love it when an unplan comes together

They say the sun rises in the east...well it just beats us by a few minutes this morning. After spending a night in a traditional Japanese house, with floor beds and kimonos we were up and out to visit some Buddhist shrines. Anya is now an honorary Buddhist monk after receiving the blessings of 10 dragons.

A few insta poses with the water shrine later the adventure continued to an amazing garden...where Sam broke us all in. After a quick game of hide and seek we headed back to the house.

Noodles, pizza and curry for breakfast before heading to the port to be pirates for the day. As the stars we are we obviously sailed First class across Lake Ashi... It was a cloudy day so what little hope we had of sneaking a peak of Mount Fuji had all but gone...but the spirits remained ready to embrace the voyage to the unknown....40 minutes later we disembarked and followed the crowd.

No idea what to expect we saw people queuing for a cable car...with a money back guarantee influencing the decision we were on our way up the mountain. When reaching the excitement and amazement built as we arrived at the top of a volcano. This erupted in 2015 and is still spewing out egg flavouring and steam.

With everyone exploring and picturing taking, an unexpected guest decided to join the day with Mount Fuji peeking her top just over the clouds for a few short moments.

The temptation of purchasing black eggs was an offer that could not be refused. After one bite of egg my face told everyone all they needed to know as all of the moisture was immediately absorbed out of my face.

Anya ordered a bottle of water from the same shop and was handed her own bag of 4 black eggs before leaving the shop and stealing the water. It's understood that the police are now looking for her and her picture is up in the airport.

Back to the house to collect the bags and begin....yes you guessed it A TRAIN JOURNEY to Kyoto...which went the same as all others and went as smoothly as sandpaper.

A short 3 hour journey by bus, train and another train we arrived at the apartment which is as posh as people who like us travel only first class deserve.
